Daily Prophet: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows to begin Filming in Two Weeks

According to BBC, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will start its filming in two weeks time. This was stated by a spokesman for WB after the Leavesden Studios were once again reopened:

"We have not begun filming yet and will not do so for another two weeks. This has always been the case," she said.

"Filming will commence mid-February and go through to spring 2009."

The filming for the seventh Harry Potter movie is due to run 54 weeks.

Daily Prophet: The Most Popular Books Among College-Aged Students

Harry Potter's popularity plummeted among college-aged readers this year, but the boy wizard still rules as the favorite book of this coveted demographic. Anderson Analytics shared the literary results of their annual open-ended "U.S. College Student Report" with GalleyCat, reporting that J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series is still the most popular book overall, followed closely by Stephenie Meyer's vampire series, Twilight.

Daily Prophet: Location Scouting for 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' Has Begun

Half-Blood Prince is still well far from its release on July 17, 2009, but preliminary location scouting for the next film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is on the roll. The officials are said to be scouting for locations in Glenfinnan, Glen Etive, Glencoe and Glen Nevis.

They are reportedly "looking at the autumn and winter changes of the terrain, trees and vegetation in these areas, and have since been in Yorkshire examining tracts of moorland to supplement the Highland locations."
